Eight Little Auks flew north past Long Nab by 11am, also one north past Marine Drive (likely one of the eight). Sadly one was picked up injured on the Cleveland Way and is now with Whitby Wildlife Rescue. Another Little Auk was picked up exhausted in a Crossgates garden. It was checked over and successfully released at the coast. Two Little Auks were in the harbour in the morning. A Goosander at Ellerburn. An Egyptian Goose at Wykeham Lakes, also 2 Pochard. The Great Northern Diver ventured into the harbour, also a Purple Sandpiper and Kingfisher there. Three Snow Buntings were in the stubble at Long Nab.
Purple Sandpiper at the harbour - Chris Bell.
