Tuesday 20th May

The pale male Honey Buzzard had returned (9th consecutive season) with last year's female. Both showed extremely well from Wykeham Forest Raptor Viewpoint, twice seen carrying frogs! Also Raven, several Goshawks and Crossbills, plus Willow Tit there. A "cream crown" Marsh Harrier flew east.

THE VIEWPOINT IS NOW FULLY OPEN.

A singing Reed Warbler at Crook Ness. A large falcon sp + jesses seen over Crossgates. Eight Sandwich Terns at Scalby Mills. A Cuckoo at Crosscliffe, Dalby Forest. Dipper at Staindale Lake. Turtle Dove at Seive Dale.
