The strong winds made birding the bushes difficult but still small numbers of migrants were arriving throughout the day.
Totals between Ravenscar and Cornelian were 5 Skylark, 12 Meadow Pipit, 2 House Martin, 36 Robin, 1 Redstart (Cornelian Bay), 1 Whinchat (Castle Hill), 1 Wheatear (Castle Hill), 18 Song Thrush, 3 Fieldfare (Stoupe Brow), 4 Blackcap, 5 Yellow-browed Warbler all of which were new (1 Stoupe Brow, 2 Ravenscar, 2 Castle Hill), 4 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest, 1 Pied Flycatcher (Castle Hill), 7 Chaffinch and 5 Reed Bunting.
Passage was very slow but on the move throughout the day (south unless stated) were 1 Red-throated Diver + 1 north, 1 Fulmar, 1 Great Skua north, 2 Kittiwake north, 3 Swallow, 1 Brambling and 1 Siskin.
At Scalby Mills there were 61 Wigeon.
