Passage produced much of the days interest including another Balearic Shearwater and the autumns first Snow Bunting. On the move (south unless stated) were 3 Red-throated Diver + 6 north, 2 Cormorant, 2 Shag, 2639 Gannet, 3 Fulmar + 2 north, 1 Balearic Shearwater at 09.23hrs, 1 Grey Heron, 1 Dark-bellied Brent Goose north, 31 Wigeon + 11 north, 2 Common Scoter + 6 north, 6 Dunlin, 1 Arctic Skua north, 1 Great Skua north, 49 Black-headed Gull, 19 Common Gull + 4 north, 1 Kittiwake + 147 north, 2 Sandwich Tern, 1 Common Tern north, 4 Arctic Tern, 13 Auk sp + 10 north, 37 Meadow Pipit, 4 Rock Pipit, 1 alba, 2 Carrion Crow, 28 Goldfinch, 1 Siskin, 1 Snow Bunting and 1 Reed Bunting.
With poor coverage and clear weather migrants were much less evident than in recent days, the 'eastern' type Lesser Whitethroat was still in Crook Ness, also seen between Ravenscar and the Castle were 15 Meadow Pipit, 4 Rock Pipit, 16 Robin, 8 Song Thrush, 1 Yellow-browed Warbler still at Cliff Top House, 1 Willow Warbler and 2 Chiffchaff.
Four Pink-footed Geese were at Burton Riggs and a Redstart was seen at Crossgates.
