Wednesday 28th November

On a wet and windy morning a drake Scaup and a drake Goosander were present at Wykeham South Lake, together with a similar community of ducks as in recent days. A Great White Egret remains at Burton Riggs, plus Chiffchaff, Shoveler and Little Grebe. A Green Sandpiper and 26 Teal flew over Seamer Tip. Potter Brompton Carr hosted 130 Wigeon, 62 Teal, 30 Mallard, a Shelduck, a female Peregrine, 25 Fieldfares and 40 Linnets. 4 Snipe were seen on the hillside between Forge Valley and Wrench Green. At 01:00 last night several Redwings were heard flying over Westwood Court.

  1. So I have been growing and juicing my own wheatgrass. I very causally read the growing section of Ann Wigmores's book on growing wheatgrass and that, with my general knowledge of sprouting seeds, I figured out the relatively simple process.
