A very windy end to the month hampering birding. It was a disappointing month with very few signs of migrants and the first March for many years with no Little Ringed Plover recorded, even worse than the terrible March of 2013!
The only reports of interest were of 4 Purple Sandpiper in North Bay, 29 Curlew on Cayton Carr and the drake Scaup on Peasholm Park now looking much healthier.
