Ring Ouzels were spotted in Ravenscar first thing this morning (2 males and 1 female), and a Harrier (species uncertain) was also seen in the area. The Cetti's Warbler was still present at Potter Brompton Carr, where there were also 14 Teal, 2 Oystercatchers and a Willow Warbler. An adult Mediterranean Gull was at Seamer Tip Pool mid-morning before flying off northwards, while another/others were seen flying over 2 houses in Cayton in the afternoon. At Johnson's Marsh there were 2 pairs of Shelduck, 2 Snipe, 5 Teal and a Moorhen.
Common Whitethroats were seen in Hutton Buscel and at Snainton golf course, with 2 Oystercatchers also at the latter site. 6 Whimbrel and 2 Corn Buntings flew south at Long Nab this morning and a Brambling was seen at the ringing plantation there. 3 Red Kites were seen over Yedingham at lunchtime. 9 Blackcaps and a Willow Warbler were singing on Castle Hill, and 17 Purple Sandpipers were roosting at the harbour.
