A
Red Kite was just south of Ravenscar early this morning, and one flew south over Cayton Low Road later in the morning. Highlights from South Cliff include 24 Crossbills, 31 Siskins and 104 Swifts flying south, plus 1 Crossbill, and 18 Swifts flying north. 639 Swifts and 2 Siskins were also seen heading south past Long Nab. 5 Crossbills flew south over Whin Bank early morning, and 26 more flew over at 12:30. At Johnson's Marsh there were 12 Herons, 2 Teal, 2 Shelduck and 20+ House Martins, while 2 Kestrels, a Buzzard and a Greylag flew over south. A
Hobby flew east, low over Heron Lane this afternoon, and another was seen flying over Woodall Avenue. A
Cuckoo was spotted on Jugger Howe Moor. A
Green Woodpecker and 2 Marsh Tits were at Wilton Heights this evening.
