Monday 1st April

 A few grounded migrants at Castle Hill included a Black Redstart, 9 Goldcrests, 2 Ring Ouzels, 3 Blackcap, 16 Chiffchaffs, 2 Redwing, a Fieldfare, and 2 Woodcock. 23 Redwing and a pair of Stonechat Cloughton Wyke. A pair of Shelduck still present, ranging between Cloughton and Johnson's Marsh. The Great Northern Diver, 2 Common Scoter in South Bay. 1950 Kittiwakes around the town/cliffs. A scattering of Brambling reported from garden feeders. A Goldeneye and 22 Common Scoter flew north at Long Nab. A Green Woodpecker over Scholes Park Road, plus one at Castlebeck Wood. Dunlin at the harbour. At North Yorkshire Water Park: Cetti's Warbler, 6 Blackcaps, Willow Warbler, 12 Sand Martins, 2 Swallows, Goosander and Red-throated Diver still. At Potter Brompton Carr; 10 Shoveler, 6 Little Egrets, Barn Owl, 11 Brambling.
