Friday 16th July
A Tufted Duck at Burton Riggs this morning had 6 ducklings, while a Little Egret, 7 Curlew and 3 Herons were in the field below Seamer Tip pool. A Quail was singing at Wilton Ings, and a Cuckoo and a juvenile Wheatear were seen at Jugger Howe Moor. 2 pairs of Grasshopper Warblers have nested just south of Seamer Road Mere towards Dean's Garden Centre. An Osprey was seen circling Wykeham East and South Lakes, while a large, unidentified bird of prey was seen being mobbed by gulls over Falsgrave Park.
