Thursday 1st July
Today's big news is a Soft-plumaged Petrel that passed Long Nab about 2 miles out, heading north. Also passing were an adult Pomarine Skua (north), 3 Wigeon, 46 Teal, 430 Common Scoter, 34 Curlew, 2 Bar-tailed Godwits and 394 Puffins. At least one Oystercatcher chick was at Burton Riggs, 2 families (5 and 1) of Tufted Duck were at Seamer Tip pool, 8 Curlew were in the field south of the pool, and a Yellow Wagtail flew over Metes Lane in Seamer.
