Waxwings
were again a big attraction with 35 on Green Lane in Scarborough and just
outside
the area there were over a hundred in the vicinity of the swimming pool
at Pickering.
Meanwhile news from other sites in Scarborough included 82 Oystercatchers, 52 Redshank, 30 Turnstone, 20 Ringed Plover, 7 Curlew, Bar-tailed Godwit and Dunlin in Jackson’s Bay; 167 Wigeon at Scalby Mills; 40 Purple Sandpipers at the harbour; Kingfisher and Water Rail at the Open Air Theatre: 2 Stonechats on Cayton Bay and one on North Bay and groups of 95 and 130 Pink-footed Geese flew south over North Bay in the morning.
