Waxwings were seen around the Green Lane / Barrowcliffe area but they were
quite mobile and often splintered into smaller groups. The large gathering of
100+ at the swimming pool at Pickering remained for another day.
Elsewhere 110 Pink-footed Geese flew south over Scalby Mills mid-afternoon and there are now two Water Rails at the reed bed behind the Open Air Theatre.
