Thursday 7th March

This morning saw an increase in southerly Kittiwake movement, with 77 passing Long Nab, while 3 Eiders also passed northwards. There were 7 Mediterranean Gulls at Holbeck, a Great Northern Diver in the harbour mouth, and the Great Grey Shrike was again present at Housedale. A Green Sandpiper, a Little Egret, 9 Snipe and a Reed Bunting were seen on Thornton Carrs, and 41+ Pied Wagtails and 6 Grey Wagtails were at Thornton Dale sewage works. A Red Kite was seen between North Moor and Wykeham village.
