Friday 16th April
3 Whooper Swans flew east over Ruston Carr early this morning, and a Red Kite was seen drifting south over Burniston and then Falsgrave. 3 Willow Warblers and 3 Chiffchaffs were in Revenge Wood. A Spotted Redshank was at Wykeham East Lake for a brief period in the morning, where there was also a Common Sandpiper, 5 Pink-footed Geese, 10 Shovelers, 16 Teal, 3 Goldeneye, 14 Willow Warblers, and a Green Sandpiper which flew off east. 6 Golden Plovers flew north-east over Crossgates, a Common Sandpiper and 2 Shelduck were at Johnson's Marsh, and a Ruff flew in off the sea then continued west at Gristhorpe Cliff. Two Wheatears at Holbeck.
