A Short-eared Owl was seen from the train just south of Seamer late afternoon. The Gristhorpe Bay high tide wader roost had 36 Purple Sandpipers, Dunlin, Grey Plover, 18 Turnstones, 46 Oystercatchers, 19 Curlew, and 56 Redshank. 210+ Wigeon in the bay flew inland. The two Bar-tailed Godwits were still by the surf shop at Cayton Bay. Two Great Northern Divers at the harbour. A continued increase in wildfowl at Wykeham Lakes: 2 Pink-footed Geese, Whooper Swan, 7 Shoveler, 18 Gadwall, 3 Pochard, Goosander, 44 Tufted Duck, 28 Goldeneye, 30 Coot, Red-necked Grebe (East Lake), 12 Great Crested Grebes, 21 Little Grebes, plus a Chiffchaff with tits near Match Lake. Two Ravens again in Troutsdale, Goshawk sightings are becoming more frequent, plus 6 Common Buzzards, Green Woodpecker, and 8 Siskins. A Hawfinch at Dalby Forest Cycle Hub, Low Dalby. 42 Pink-footed Geese at Yedingham with feral geese. Little Owl near Snainton. A Great White Egret at Manor Ground (SW of Seamer village). Three Marsh Harriers at Potter Brompton Carr. c30 Skylarks near Cloughton. Two drake Shoveler Seamer tip pool, two Little Grebes at Burton Riggs. A Woodcock in a Newby garden.
