At Potter Brompton Carr: adult Yellow-legged Gull, Green Sandpiper, Great White Egret, 5 Marsh Harriers, Cetti's Warbler, 5 Yellow Wagtails, 140 House Martins. Brompton Ponds: Little Grebes with one new chick, Little Egret, 2 Snipe, Grey Wagtail and Kingfisher. A Turtle Dove at North Lodge Farm near Snainton. Two Swifts south over Burniston. A Hobby flew east over Newby. A first-winter Caspian Gull at Scalby Mills in the evening had been ringed in Holland near Amsterdam. At Seamer Road Mere: 34 Tufted Ducks, 6 Gadwall, juvenile Water Rail, Blackcap. 200 Rooks roosted at Cayton. 28 Swifts feeding between Cornelian Bay and Oliver's Mount.
