4 Corn Buntings were seen today associating with Yellowhammers and ranging between Scalby Lodge Pond and Style Scrub.

The Wigeon flock at Scalby Mills hit a record for this year with a count of 532 and on the opposite side of North Bay one of the Black Redstarts was seen between the Oasis and the Royal Albert Drive Caf├ęs. The Harbour was still holding on to the 2 Black-necked Grebes and a Great Northern Diver.

Also today 7 Common Buzzards were seen together over Raincliffe Woods, there were 3 Little Egrets between Yedingham and Ebberston and at Wykeham South Lake waterfowl included 9 Gadwall, 23 Pochard and 6 Great-crested Grebes.

Finally the Starlings put on a good show at dusk again.
