Tuesday 14th February 2017

Well I hope that all you birders were keen to gain a few brownie points today from your partners.

After the Goosander on the 12th today on Johnson;s Marsh there was a ♂ Goldeneye and nearby at Scalby Mills there were 500+ Wigeon.

The Harbour today had the now customary 2 Black-necked Grebes and a Great Northern Diver.

The wetland areas had 47 Pochards, 2 Goldeneye and 3 Gadwall on Wykeham South Lake; the ♀ Scaup and 9 Goosander on The Mere; and 3 White-fronted Geese at Harwood Dale Lake

2 Little Egrets were again on beckside between Ebberston turn off and Yedingham and at Snainton a Blackcap was seen today.
