4 Corn Buntings were seen today associating with Yellowhammers and ranging between Scalby Lodge Pond and Style Scrub.

The Wigeon flock at Scalby Mills hit a record for this year with a count of 532 and on the opposite side of North Bay one of the Black Redstarts was seen between the Oasis and the Royal Albert Drive Cafés. The Harbour was still holding on to the 2 Black-necked Grebes and a Great Northern Diver.

Also today 7 Common Buzzards were seen together over Raincliffe Woods, there were 3 Little Egrets between Yedingham and Ebberston and at Wykeham South Lake waterfowl included 9 Gadwall, 23 Pochard and 6 Great-crested Grebes.

Finally the Starlings put on a good show at dusk again.
