The day started well with a juvenile Iceland Gull that flew north past Long Nab at 07.50 and then 2 minutes later a skein of 38 Pink-footed Geese flew north past the same location. Later at 08.38 another skein of c75 Pink-foots also went north at Long Nab and then adding to the northward movement of geese a further c90 Pink-foots flew north over Sawdon at 09.50. Also at Long Nab today an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull went south and 17 Skylarks were moving including one flying ESE out to sea.

The 2 Black-necked Grebes were seen today in South Bay and the Great Grey Shrike was seen again at Maw Rigg in Langdale Forest.
