12 Moorhens and 7 Herons were seen at Johnson's Marsh this afternoon. An immature female
Merlin flew east over Potter Brompton Carr, where there were also 4 Shoveler and 400+ Lapwings. Over 600 Golden Plover were seen over fields between Potter Brompton Carr and Wykeham South Lake. A Kingfisher, a drake Goosander and 2 Goldeneye were at Seamer Road Mere; the Great Northern Diver was still in the harbour, and the Red-throated Diver was in South Bay. An adult Mediterranean Gull was seen in South Bay and another in Peasholm Park. 25
Waxwings were feeding in a rowan tree near the Newlands Park Drive shops.
