Early this morning 6 Waxwings were feeding in Rowan trees in Willymath Close, Burniston. 45 Pink-footed Geese flew south over Cayton Carrs. 3 Snow Buntings were in the 4th field north of the observation hut at Long Nab, and there was a Woodcock in the ringing plantation. Highlights seen flying past Long Nab included a Black-throated Diver heading north and a Sandwich Tern heading south. A Fieldfare, a Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrests and a Treecreeper were spotted on Castle Hill this afternoon, and a Little Auk was in the harbour.
