The wader fest continues in our area! Star Carr held 3 Little Stints, 53 Ruff, 21 Dunlin, 63 Snipe, 4 Wood Sandpipers, 2 Green Sandpipers, 60 Lapwing, and Golden Plover over. Also there 2 Little Grebes, a Great White Egret, 2 Little Egrets, 2 Shelduck, 2 Shoveler, 25 Teal, Marsh Harrier, 3 Kingfishers, 115 Starling, and 3 Yellow Wagtails. At Potter Brompton Carr; 2 Little Stints, 4 Dunlin, 12 Ruff, a juv LRP, 12 Ringed Plover, 3 Black-tailed Godwit, Wood Sandpiper, 6 Greenshank, 4 Redshank, 2+ Garganey, 4 Marsh Harriers (3 juvs + female), 3 Great White Egrets. 77 Swifts south past Long Nab, and 119 south at Lebberston Cliffs where there was a Little Grebe on the sea, and good numbers of passerines; Spotted Flycatcher, 22 Willow Warblers, 16 Whitethroats, Garden Warbler. Also 6 Grey Partridge and a Marsh Harrier flew south. A Hobby over Forge Valley.
