The Ortolan Bunting continued to entertain many visitors at Wykeham forest. 36 Crossbills flew south at Ravenscar early morning. A Mandarin, 2 Little Ringed Plovers, Common Gull at Harwood Dale Lake. A Turtle Dove at the Mill Inn. The Little Ringed Plovers at Wykeham East Lake have two chicks. A Little Egret, two pairs of Coots building new nests at Brompton Ponds. Two broods of Tufted Ducks at Seamer Rd Mere. A Quail called briefly at Malton Cote. At least seven breeding pairs of Redstarts in the Scar/Castlebeck Wood area plus two pairs along helwath Beck.
