Monday 13th October

 Highlights today included the Snow Bunting and Caspian Gull still at the harbour, 557 Barnacle Geese past Long Nab. Also past Long Nab were a good selection of wildfowl, 17 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, a Black-throated Diver north, Great Crested Grebe, 93 Little Gulls, and good numbers of Redwing arriving with some Fieldfare, Blackbirds and a Ring Ouzel. Late afternoon saw the arrival of three Yellow-browed Warblers (2 Long Nab, one at Cornelian Ravine). A Barnacle Goose was with Canadas at Johnson's Marsh. Five Whooper Swans and 52 Barnacle Geese flew NE over Wykeham Lakes, also 96 Teal, 4 Snipe, Pink-footed Goose, Goldeneye, and Brambling south over. A juvenile Brent Goose at Scalby Mills plus 80 Wigeon there. A Brambling at Scalby Mills Road and Goosander at Scalby Beck.
