Monday 4th October
35 Wigeon and a Grey Wagtail were at Scalby Ness this morning, a Dipper was on Scalby Beck, and in Jackson's Bay there were 3 Red-throated Divers, an Eider, 2 Curlew,, a Ringed Plover, a Bar-tailed Godwit, 3 Turnstones, and 33 Pink-footed Geese flew in off the sea heading west. A Red Kite flew south-west over Taylor Way, 2 Grey Wagtails were in the filed below Seamer Tip, and a Chiffchaff was at Burton Riggs. Many young Gannets remain off Marine Drive while 13 Red-throated Divers were feeding in Cayton Bay and 7 Sandwich Terns were at the northern end of the bay.
