Friday 8th October
18 Lapwings, a Little Grebe and 8 Wigeon were at Wykeham East Lake this morning, while 2 Gadwall, and 2 Egyptian Geese were on South Lake. 2 Redwing and 2 Song Thrushes flew south over Crossgates, and in the afternoon 16 Wigeon flew south-west. In the Scalby Lodge pond field there was a Dunlin and a Black-tailed Godwit, while 76 Pink-footed Geese flew over heading south. About 100 Pink-footed Geese flew south over East Ayton, and 4 Buzzards were seen together over Heron Lane, Crossgates.
