Wykeham Lakes hosted a Whooper Swan, 5 Mute Swans, 93 Coot, 15 Tufted Duck and 4 Little Grebes at South Lake, plus 16 Cormorants, 23 Coot and a Little Grebe at East Lake. Highlights passing Long Nab this morning included 9 Barnacle Geese, 4 Velvet Scoter,a Black-throated Diver, a Great Northern Diver, a Sooty Shearwater, a Manx Shearwater, a Mediterranean Gull and a Puffin; and this afternoon 3 Barnacle Geese, 2 Sooty Shearwaters, 21 Little Gulls and a Pomarine Skua. 2 Twite were in the field at the back of the Long Nab observation hut, and 21 Curlew were in Scalby Lodge field. Seen passing Marine Drive this morning were the 4 Velvet Scoter and the Great Northern Diver that passed Long Nab, plus a sub-adult Long-tailed Skua heading north.
