About 80 Pink-footed Geese flew north over Hutton Buscel this morning, 105 flew north over Thornton Dale, 255 flew north and 23 south past Long Nab, 120 flew south over Wykeham Lakes this afternoon, 120 flew south-west over Crossgates, and 100 flew south over West Ayton. At Wykeham South Lake there were 2 Whooper Swans, 2 Pochard, 5 Gadwall, 52 Coot, 2 Moorhens, 2 Little Grebes, 2 Goldeneye, 3 Great Crested Grebes, 17 Tufted Duck, 4 Bullfinches, 2 Kestrels and a Great White Egret. A Jack Snipe was in the stubble field at Long Nab where a Snow Bunting and 355 Siskin flew south. A female Eider was in the harbour and 8 Purple Sandpipers were roosting on East Pier.
