Grounded migrants were very thin on the ground, between Crook Ness and the Castle were 2 Whitethroat and 1 Chiffchaff. There were 154 Great Black-backed Gulls at Scalby Mills and 31 Turnstone and a Purple Sandpiper were in the Harbour. A Sanderling was in South Bay during the evening and 2 Dunlin and a Yellow Wagtail were at Wykeham South Lake.
This Muntjac Deer was a rather unusual record, casually strolling through the field just by the Long Nab seawatch hut! Michael McNaghten |
