The Highlight of a watch today was a Balearic Shearwater that flew north at 07.50hrs. Also on the move (south unless stated) were 4 Red-throated Diver + 1 north, 129 Fulmar north, 11 Manx Shearwater north, 241 Gannet + 757 north, 3 Cormorant + 4 north, 1 Wigeon, 9 Teal north, 4 Mallard, 2 Common Scoter, 1 Sparrowhawk, 8 Oystercatcher, 15 Golden Plover, 2 Dunlin north, 2 Curlew, 2 Turnstone, 1 Arctic Skua, 17 Black-headed Gull + 19 north, 1 Common Gull + 2 north, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 118 Kittiwake north, 1 Commic Tern north, 1 Razorbill north, 117 Swallow, 17 House Martin, 189 Meadow Pipit, 1 Rock Pipit, 1 flava, 1 alba, 11 Carrion Crow, 4 Tree Sparrow, 16 Goldfinch and 115 Linnet.
Grounded Migrants seen were 3 Whinchat, 3 Whitethroat, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Willow Warbler and 2 Reed Bunting.
A juvenile Little Stint was on Scalby Lodge Pond with 2 Dunlin, 160 Great Black-backed Gull were in fields in the Long Nab area and 16 Teal and 8 Wigeon were on Johnson's Marsh.
