The Whimbrel was again feeding with Curlews in the field by Crook Ness car park this morning. 7 Mandarins, 2 Shelduck and 8+ Teal were on the pool below North Stile, Wrench Green, while a Barn Owl hunted nearby. The Great Grey Shrike was still at Derwent Head, Langdale Forest this afternoon (grid ref: SE885974), while at the Housedale site of previous shrike sightings there were 4 Hawfinches.
