The Whimbrel was once again feeding with Curlews in the field behind the observation hut. A pair of Peregrines were seen mating on the castle cliff. 3 or 4 Goshawks, 3 Sparrowhawks and 6 Buzzards were seen this morning from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint, plus 35 Pink-footed Geese flying north. A Comma butterfly was spotted in the car park there.
