Wednesday 23rd October

A Red-throated Diver was in the harbour this morning, where 8 Whooper Swans were seen flying over, having been seen already over Long Nab. Also at Long Nab a Ringtail Hen Harrier was seen flying WSW, and a Little Egret flew north. At Seamer Road Mere this afternoon there were 17 Tufted Duck, a Goldeneye, 2 Coot, a Mediterranean Gull and a Chiffchaff, plus 4 Swallows flying south. A flock of probably 20 to 40 Pink-footed Geese were heard heading south over Dean Road this evening.
