A Yellow-browed Warbler was in a Burniston garden this morning. A Goosander at Scalby Mills, where the male Snow Bunting is still present on the sea wall opposite the Sea Life Centre. The moulting adult Red-throated Diver still in the harbour. A late House Martin at Wrench Green. A Jay flew over Long Lane, Crossgates, a noticeable increase in Blackbirds around Burton Riggs. 50 Pink-footed Geese and two Whooper Swans flew south over Cayton Bay. Highlights past Long Nab included 35 Pink-footed Geese, 7 Arctic Skuas, 4 Arctic Terns, and a Great White Egret south at 10;10am. Five Whooper Swans south over North Cliff golf course. At Potter Brompton Carr; 38 Whooper & 16 Mute Swans, 3 Great White Egrets, 2 Little Egrets, 3 Marsh Harriers, Gadwall, 19 Snipe, 2 Redwing, and a Stonechat.
