An arrival of continental thrushes throughout the area today. Generally small numbers involved, 100+ Redwings over Wrench Green, and 110 at Long Nab, and 170 over North Yorkshire Water Park the largest numbers reported. Also at Long Nab were 35 Blackbirds, 40 Song Thrushes, two Ring Ouzels, and a Fieldfare. Highlights moving past were 11 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 2 Pintail, 6 Red-breasted Mergansers, 3 Little Gulls, a Mediterranean Gull, and 590+ Starlings south. A Raven flew north, perhaps the same bird at Rodger Trod later. A Chiffchaff and a Blackcap in the plantations. A Shoveler, 25 Teal at East Lake, NY Water Park. A Litte Grebe on a field flash at Hood Lane, Cloughton. 20 Meadow Pipits Hood Lane - Rodger Trod. A Little Egret, 10 Grey Herons and a Little Grebe at Ellerburn. A Corn Bunting and a Brambling at Nabgate, Dalby Forest. A redhead Goosander at Johnson's Marsh.
