Saturday 18th - Sunday 19th April 2015

A quiet day on the 18th produced the Garganey on Johnson's Marsh and a Wheatear at Scalby Lodge Pond.

The 19th was a little more lively, with the following recorded;Migration watch; 06.55 - 11.00hrs.
On the move (south unless stated) were 1 Red-throated Diver + 1 north, 7 Fulmar + 58 north, 188 Gannet + 346 north, 2 Teal, 1 Tufted Duck north, 2 Eider, 4 Common Scoter north, 1 Black-headed Gull north, 20 Common Gull + 3 north, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Great Black-backed Gull + 10 north, 9 Sandwich Tern + 2 north, 850 Auk sp + 235, 2 Carrion Crow north and 3 Linnet north.
Elsewhere the Garganey remained on Johnson's Marsh, a Shelduck and 4 Teal were on Scalby Lodge Pond, 27 Tufted Duck were on Peasholm Park, 31 Tufted Duck, 30+ Swallow, 5 House Martin, 10+ Sand Martin, 7 Blackcap and 1 Willow Warbler were at the Mere and 6 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Egyptian Geese, 2 Gadwall, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 5 Swallow and 3 Sand Martin were at Wykeham South Lake.
