Another good early spring day with another year tick in the shape of a Firecrest at Long Nab.
Other migrants grounded at Long Nab were 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 23 Meadow Pipit, 1 White Wagtail, 1 Fieldfare, 2 Redwing, 6 Chiffchaff, 7 Goldcrest and 1 Lesser Redpoll.
On the move there (north unless stated) were 1 Cormorant south, 1 Sparrowhawk south, 2 Common Buzzard south, 1 Kestrel south, 1 Sand Martin, 1 Swallow south, 155 Meadow Pipit, 1 Alba south, 6 Jackdaw + 4 south, 4 Rook + 12 south, 16 Carrion Crow + 29 south, 7 Chaffinch, 4 Greenfinch, 9 Goldfinch + 1 south and 24 Linnet + 21 south.
Elsewhere 2 Wigeon, 2 Gadwall, 34 Lapwing, 9 Snipe, 2 Swallow and 2 White Wagtail were at Potter Brompton Carr (no general access), the first Whinchat of the year arrived at RAF Fylingdales and 2 Little Ringed Plover and a White Wagtail were at Wykeham South Lake.
