A Great Grey Shrike at Low Woof Howe in Langdale Forest was the highlight of the day and was possibly the same bird seen at Stony Knoll back in late January.
At Wykeham South Lake the Black-throated Diver was still present along with 2 Pink-footed Geese, 2 Egyptian Geese, 9 Gadwall, 3 Goldeneye and 3 Oystercatcher, 3 Whooper Swan were on Lebberston Carr, 4 Shelduck, 49 Lapwing, 4 Snipe and 6 Fieldfare were on Potter Brompton Carr (no general access) and 10 Lapwing, 5 Rock Pipit and 2 Lapland Bunting were at Long Nab.
On the move (south unless stated) were 8 Red-throated Diver + 2 north, 15 Fulmar + 6 north, 124 Gannet + 12 north, 1 Cormorant + 11 north, 2 Greylag Geese, 1 Shelduck, 1 Mallard, 2 Oystercatcher north, 42 Golden Plover in off and west, 1 Curlew + 1 north, 117 Black-headed Gull + 1 north, 136 Common Gull, 1181 Herring Gull, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 278 Great Black-backed Gull, 1 Kittiwake north, 8 Skylark, 9 Linnet and 1 Yellowhammer.
