Tuesday 11th - Wednesday 12th February 2014

On the 11th the Great Northern Diver was unfortunately found dead in the Harbour during the day, despite feeding very well over the last few months it has slowly been deteriorating, possibly due to the pollution in the Harbour.
At Long Nab there were 4 Lapland and 3 Snow Buntings in the stubble north of the Hut and 26 Purple Sandpiper were roosting in the Harbour.

The only report on the 12th was of a male Hen Harrier south over the A170 at Irton during the morning.
