Another steady day, migrants seen between Scalby Beck and Cornelian Bay were 3 Wheatear, 1 Redstart, first of the year (Scalby Beck), 2 Ring Ouzel (South Cliff), 3 Lesser Whitethroat (2 Scalby Beck, 1 South Cliff), 8 Blackcap, 13 Chiffchaff and 4 Willow Warbler.
Inland a female Common Scoter and 4 Wheatear were at Wykeham South Lake, the first Whitethroat of the year was at Seamer Tip along with a pair of Shoveler and a pair of Gadwall were on Star Carr.
On the move (north unless stated) were 1 Gannet south, 18 Pink-footed Geese, 2 Shelduck, 12 Black-headed Gull south, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 9 Auk sp south, 11 Sand Martin + 1 south, 3 Swallow + 2 south, 2 House Martin, 83 Meadow Pipit + 1 south, 1 Flava, 2 Alba + 1 south, 7 Carrion Crow, 13 Goldfinch + 7 south, 66 Linnet and 1 Lesser Redpoll.
