The highlight of a very quiet day was a female Hen Harrier near Burn Howe.
Elsewhere 9 Egyptian Geese (2 adults and 7 goslings!) were at Wykeham South Lake where there were also 8 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Shelduck, 3 Gadwall, 9 Teal, 2 Goldeneye, 3 Little Ringed Plover, 6 Sand Martin and a White Wagtail, 2 Bar-tailed Godwit were in Jackson's Bay, a Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff, the Snow Bunting and 250 Linnet were at Long Nab, 3 Blackcap and 6 Chiffchaff were in song at Seamer Mere, a Swallow, a Blackcap and a Willow Warbler were at Burton Riggs, another Swallow was at Seamer Tip, a Nuthatch was in Peasholme Park.
A very slow day for passage produced the following (south unless stated) 5 Gannet north, 16 Black-headed Gull north, 2 Sand Martin north, 10 Meadow Pipit + 2 north, 8 Carrion Crow, 1 Goldfinch and 49 Linnet + 86 north.
