Despite the heavy rain and foggy conditions hampering birding it was evident that at least a few bits had arrived, between Long Nab and Cornelian Bay were 6 Blackcap, 1 Whitethroat, 3 Lesser Whitethroat, 1 Sedge Warbler, the first Grasshopper Warbler of the year (Long Nab), 16 Chiffchaff and 2 Willow Warbler.
At Wykeham South Lake 8 Arctic Tern flew northeast, also there were the Egyptian Geese, 4 Little Ringed Plover, a Common Sandpiper, 2 Dunlin, 30+ Common Gull, 500+ Herring Gull, 12 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 adult Yellow-legged Gull, the first Swift of the year, 40 Swallow, 70 Sand Martin and 4 Yellow Wagtail, a Barnacle Goose, a Black-tailed Godwit, a Snipe, 10 Swallow, a House Martin and 50 Sand Martin were at Harwood Dale Lake, 6 Gadwall, 4 Teal, 2 Shoveler, a Wigeon, 360 Common Gull, 20 Swallow, 6 House Martin, 32 Sand Martin, a Yellow Wagtail and 3 Fieldfare were on Potter Brompton Carr (no general access), 2 Gadwall and 2 Teal were on Flotmanby Carr, a Marsh Harrier was at Well Springs, a Little Ringed Plover and a Redshank were on Scalby Lodge Pond and a Green Sandpiper was on Johnson's Marsh.
On the move (north unless stated) were 1 Ringed Plover, 1 Golden Plover southwest, 2 Curlew, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 House Martin, 8 Alba in off and 7 Linnet.
