Grounded migrants seen between Long Nab and Cornelian Bay were 3 Skylark, 20 Meadow Pipit, 5 Wheatear (1 Marine Drive, 4 Castle Tops), 2 Black Redstart (1 Marine Drive, 1 near St Marys Church), 1 Blackbird, 1 Redwing, 1 male Blackcap (Castle Hill), 27 Chiffchaff and 1 Goldcrest.
Elsewhere a new Mealy Redpoll was seen in West Ayton along with 2 Brambling and 8 Siskin, 5 Wigeon and a Sand Martin were at Wykeham South Lake, 2 Shelduck, 12 Wigeon, 10 Teal and 2 Oystercatcher were on Johnson's Marsh, 35 Purple Sandpiper were roosting in the Harbour and 80 Fieldfare were at Charm Park, Wykeham with 60 also at Riverhead Farm.
On the move (south unless stated) were 1 Grey Heron, 2 Black-headed Gull north, 2 Common Gull north, 2 Sandwich Tern north (first of the year), 1 Sand Martin north, 7 Meadow Pipit + 11 north, 1 Alba, 13 Goldfinch, 2 Siskin, 2 Linnet, 1 Redpoll sp and 1 Lesser Redpoll north.
Two Common Buzzard also moved west over Harwood Dale.
