It was a good day for passage at Long Nab, on the move (south unless sated) were 1 Red-throated Diver, 13 Fulmar + 4 north, 7 Gannet + 6 north, 5 Cormorant + 4 north, 2 Shag north, 10 Greylag Geese + 18 north, 2 Mallard, 3 Tufted Duck north, 4 Eider north, 1 Common Scoter north, 1 cream crown Marsh Harrier (first of the year), 1 Buzzard north, 9 Curlew north, 1 Black-headed Gull, 19 Common Gull + 34 north, 5 Lesser Black-backed Gull + 7 north, 31 Great Black-backed Gull + 8 north, 42 Kittiwake + 2 north, 2 Auk sp + 2 north, 44 Wood Pigeon + 4 north, 18 Sand Martin + 1 north, 1 Swallow (first of the year), 104 Meadow Pipit, 11 Alba + 1 north, 3 Magpie north, 2 Jackdaw, 5 Rook, 21 Carrion Crow + 5 north, 9 Starling, 26 Chaffinch, 33 Goldfinch and 605 Linnet + 14 north.
Elsewhere 1 Egyptian Goose, 1 Pink-footed Goose, 1 Shoveler, 1 Common Scoter and 3 Little Ringed Plover were at Wykeham South Lake, 7 Teal and 6 Wigeon were on Johnson's Marsh, male Blackcaps were noted at Cober Hill, in Falsgrave Park and in Cornelian Bay where there were also 2 Eider, a male Snow Bunting was at Long Nab.
