Migration watch; 17.45 – 18.45hrs.
A fine male Hen Harrier was the highlight of the day, hunting over Burn Howe Moor for much of the afternoon.
A Cuckoo was in Castle Beck Wood, 2 Pink-footed Geese were at Seamer Tip where there were also 3 Whitethroat, a Lesser Whitethroat and the first 2 juvenile Coot of the year.
Single of Lesser Whitethroat and Whitethroat were in Scalby Beck and yesterday’s Whinchat was still present nearby at Scalby Lodge Pond.
On the move (north unless stated) were 3 Fulmar, 1 Cormorant south, 4 Common Gull, 1 Sandwich Tern, 2 Swallow south and 4 Linnet + 1 south.
