The first 2 Sanderling of the year
were found early morning on Wykeham South Lake where there were 12 Swallow, a
Dunlin and a Little Ringed Plover. A Green Sandpiper was seen near Seamer Tip,
a drake Pochard was on Burton Riggs, a Wheatear and a Redwing were behind the
Marine Drive Wall, 8 Teal were on Harwood Dale Lake, a Coot was on Johnson’s
Marsh and the injured Whooper Swan, 2 Pintail, 7 Shoveler, 7 Teal, 4 Shelduck,
19 Wigeon, 1 Snipe and 10 Curlew were on Potter Brompton Carr (no general
access).
