The
trickle of Arctic Terns through Wykeham South Lake continued with another 3
being seen today plus 2 Little Ringed Plover, 2 Common Sandpiper, 2 Shelduck, 4
Egyptian Geese and a Wheatear.
A
Bar-tailed Godwit and 26 Whimbrel were on the Star Carr side of Seamer Tip,
Seamer Tip pool had 2 Pink-footed Geese and the Grasshopper Warbler by the
mound again and nearby on Flixton Carr a flock of 37 Whimbrel.
A
Common Sandpiper was on Johnson’s Marsh and on Scalby Ness Sands we had 3
Bar-tailed Godwits and Stonechat parents feeding three young.
