A Great White Egret was discovered at about 15.30 this afternoon in
the northwest corner of Wykeham South Lake but it walked out of view some 25
minutes later. The Red-necked Grebe was still present today and there
was a single Whooper Swan, an estimated 1000+ Gulls came in to roost this
evening the vast majority of which were Common Gulls with 800+ in total.

Goldeneye (N), a Goosander (N), an adult Mediterranean Gull (S), a Great Skua
(S), 12 Pomarine Skuas (S) in groups
of 3 at 08.08 and then 9 at 11.15 of which 6+ were adult types, a total of 7 Little Auks (N), a Lapland Bunting (S) and a Snow
Bunting (S).
On Willerby Carr this
morning there were c120 Whooper Swans but at 14.30 none could be located and on
Marine Drive a Little Auk flew north
and there was a probable Scandinavian Rock Pipit which was photographed.
